Badan Penyelenggara Haji Indonesia (BP Haji) recently appointed four former Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) employees to high-ranking positions (level II-IV) within the organization. This initiative was praised by Yudi Purnomo Harahap, the former Chairman of the KPK Employees’ Forum, who viewed it as a testament to President Prabowo’s government’s commitment to strengthening anti-corruption efforts by recruiting individuals known for their integrity from the public sphere, including ex-KPK personnel.

• Appointments: The appointments were made by BP Haji’s Chief, Irfan Yusuf, and Deputy Chief, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak. The four appointees were previously part of the Police’s Anti-Corruption Special Team (Satgassus), a unit comprising former KPK investigators and staff.

• Appointed Officials:

1. Budi Agung Nugraha: Former senior KPK investigator, appointed as Director of Supervision, Monitoring, and Evaluation of Overseas Hajj Services.

2. Chandra Sulistio Reksoprodjo: Former Director of HR at KPK, appointed as Director of Strategy Development and Governance.

3. March Falentino: Former KPK investigator, appointed as Sub-Director.

4. Nurul Huda: Former Internal Supervisor at KPK, appointed as Sub-Director.

• Responsibilities: They will serve under the Deputy for Supervision, Monitoring, and Evaluation of Hajj Implementation. The move is aimed at enhancing governance and preventing corruption in the management of Hajj affairs.

• Yudi’s Statement: Yudi expressed confidence in the appointees’ integrity and past performance, believing they would fulfill their duties responsibly and promote integrity within BP Haji.
